Automatic credits or debits from your account have become a convenient way to deposit and withdraw money from your account electronically.  Whether it's an income tax return, paycheck, retirement distribution, insurance payment, etc., you can have peace of mind that checks aren't sitting in your mailbox and you don't have to write a check or mail a payment.
