Share Accounts
Every time a deposit is made, a share of the credit union is purchased. That is why Savings Accounts are actually called "Share Accounts". Our share accounts feature the following:
- Low minimum balance of $25 to become a member
- Membership makes you an owner with a vote
- High dividends paid on all accounts
- Higher dividend rate as your balance increases
- Limited to 6 withdrawals per month (3 allowed from a third party)
- Funds are Federally insured up to at least $250,000 until 12/31/2011
Share Accounts are broken into five different levels according to balance:
- Under $1,000
- Minimum of $1,000
- Minimum of $5,000
- Minimum of $10,000
- Minimum of $25,000
Youth Share Accounts
Children of all ages can learn more about the aspects of saving! HCCU offers minors, newborn to age 18, a share account with a low minimum balance. Kids age 12 and under are automatically enrolled in HCCU's Kids Club when they open a share account. Being a member of HCCU's Kids Club offers the following:
- Low minimum balance of $25 makes you a member
- FREE! Piggy Bank when the account is opened
- Birthday cards on your special day each year you are a club member
- Children can pick a prize from the Treasure Chest with each deposit of $5 or more
- Access to stories, puzzles, and games for all ages. Kids, get your parents' permission and check out Googolplex - our Kids Club Website.

Christmas Club Accounts
It's never too early to start saving for the holidays! By putting a small amount per paycheck into your Christmas Club Account you will be amazed at how much you have in your pocket when holiday shopping time rolls around. Your balance, including dividends, will be mailed to you the first week of October each year. Club Accounts
We also have special Club Accounts which can be a great tool for managing your money - and there is never a fee for these accounts. Label them whatever you wish - from "New Car" to "Kitchen Remodel Account" - whatever the name, you'll receive a competitive dividend rate whatever your balance.
